Destination 11:04
We have nature and it became, being controlled Ignored its will Ignored its power But are you still all right? Our ends are on the extended road Deprived of its life Deprived of its light But you still want to forecast right Right... Desire of flesh sucks up my joy That's an elimination of my sorrow Erase this, erase that Eyes are opened without seeing Go on as you planned it You believe that's the way it is Go on as you planned it You believe now you are saved But now what you got is Destination of greed And I take a few wobbly steps But I should sing Sing out loud Someday, something will break my soul I know I will take a breath with no notice I'm waiting for The day I take a breath again. Again... The hollow of my soul is inside of me Waiting to fly Fly away To somewhere like the sky

Chickering 07:08
The smell of the night Falling onto my shoulder From the stalking light We hide in the darkness I don't care who you are You're sweeter than destiny Rupture my heart in this shameless land Let me feel Your infinite pleasure Let me touch All the things that you treasure I don't care where we are So far from reality So far away from the end

Last Train 06:19
You know what? I'm coming back Coming back home now I see lines and lines of screaming voices Such a scream Aches in my mind Have I ever seen it before? Have I ever noticed it? Long time ago I was told I was told that I could be whatever I want to It's always been true It's always been such a happy feeling But I had to count the days of my life I have postponed my glorious day Running up the hill in Wuthering Heights Shut off all the TV satellites Visit my sister's graveyard and bring her some flowers Oh, my glorious day I have postponed my glorious day Last train Leaves soon I'm coming back home now Last train Leaves soon I think I can make it this time

Mel's Island 07:35
Discoloration, shadow Unspoken word, unfinished dream The foreground fades away From days aweigh The endless painted moments fly Distorted self-reflection A mirror of her own desire The image sets her free In time to see It vanish in the hollow sky
7.
We are living in distortion In this endless game of fortune I see myself in the windows around me No reflection I am happy in the darkness Nokosareta miwaku Saigo no furetai Sikai no zawamaki wa mada Nanika wo sagashite I am happy in the darkness

Irish Song 08:36
Follow me Run away To the place we lost in the past Do you remember? And I know That after the rains start to fall I will recall All the days we spent running away From the pain we felt in our hearts Do you remember? And I see That when you come back to me I will keep you in the moment I will have you now and always I will lose you in the rainfall

about

By the time of my sophomore recording the band and I had evolved quite a bit. It had become a quintet with the edition of Peter Hess and the music had also become much bigger in scope. We lost the covers as I became more confident as a composer (this album features six of my originals, two of Matt's, and one we co-wrote) and stylistically we had moved away from a mostly acoustic sound and incorporated a lot of sounds from what I was hearing in New York as we crossed the millennium. This band was really hitting hard and it was really a BAND by this point. We were playing a lot in town at places like the Knitting Factory and Detour and I had done a couple of tours with Matt in Japan. This is the period where I performed the most live in New York. Looking back, this was a great period for me and for the New York scene. I think this recording really captures the vibe of that time.
